AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN … AND THEIR PARENTS

Behaviour Change & Emotional Wellbeing Therapist

I’ve been helping both adults and children overcome a variety of difficulties for nearly 20 years, which means I’m very skilled at getting you the results you need really quickly. I’m an expert at helping people change their habits and behaviours - and that includes your patterns of thinking and feeling, particularly anxiety, which is solvable in just one to three sessions. When I work with younger children, I usually have parents present in the session too, so you can learn from me.

The type of issues that I can help you with are:

  • General anxiety and trauma

  • Health anxiety: germs, illnesses, emetophobia, dentists

  • School issues such as avoidance, exam stress, ADHD support

  • Specific fears or phobias such as fear of flying, dogs, needles

  • Unwanted habits such as bedwetting, trichotillomania

  • Lack of confidence, performance anxiety, stage fright

  • Sleep issues: fear of the dark, insomnia, nightmares

  • Food issues: fussy eating, food phobias, junk food cravings

Therapy and Personal Development

I originally trained as a Montessori teacher and ran my own School for five years, so I know how to connect well with children and there’s always a lot of creativity, fun and laughter in my sessions. But I’m also qualified in many different types of psychotherapy so I use a blend of methods and techniques depending on what the situation requires. As well as conventional psychotherapy, I also use Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy, Psycho-sensory Therapies such as Tapping (TFT) and Havening - and I’m also able to give you a deeper analysis of problems if required.

Once an initial problem has been solved, I can continue to work with your child to enhance other areas of their personal development helping them to succeed and fulfil their potential.

Monthly Coaching Options:

Whilst some problems can be fixed in just a few sessions, many families recognise the benefits of having ongoing support for longer periods. I offer support coaching packages for three or six months and you’ll get more of my time and attention like this. As well as sessions with your child, this will also include parent calls via Zoom each week. Some problems such as bedwetting, eating issues, sleeping or school avoidance need to be solved in the home as well as in the consulting room, so I’ll guide and support you with managing situations at your end. We’ll work together as a team.

Bespoke Service:

I also offer a tailor-made service that can accommodate all your needs. It’s possible for us to work more closely together for a minimum of three months and I’ll act as your personal family therapist. I can accommodate foreign travel, consultations at home, school visits as well as an out-of-hours and weekend service. I know how difficult it can be to solve some family problems, especially those of teenagers and so a ‘hands-on’ approach from a professional may be just what you need.

You’ll have the benefit of my experience and expert advice across the board including medical and educational. I can arrange appointments for blood tests, nutrition/dietary advice, physiotherapy, and also give you educational advice regarding choice of schools, dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. I have a very good contact list and will use my extensive knowledge to solve all your problems.

We’ll have an initial call to discuss how this could work for you and to see if we’re a good fit for each other. Please email me if you are interested and we can discuss this in more detail via Zoom.
